On the afternoon of March 27th 2025, Ms. BAO Ruhua, Standing Committee Member of the Yuzhong District Committee and Head of the Organization Department, along with Deputy District Head Mr. ZHAO Yilun, visited the Chongqing Medical University to attend a research symposium. Vice Presidents of the university, incluing Mr. YUAN Jun, Prof. YU Huarong, and Prof. LI Huabing, attended the meeting.
Mr. Yuan extended a warm welcome to Ms. Bao and her delegation and expressed gratitude for their visit. He provided an overview of the progress of and future plans for the university’s proposed high-tech achievement conversion center in Yuzhong District. Yuan emphasized that the university would leverage the construction of high-impact scientific research platforms as a key initiative to better serve national and regional development strategies.
Ms. Bao affirmed Yuzhong District’s full support for the university’s advanced scientific research platform development, pledging comprehensive support measures. She stated that the district would further strengthen collaboration between the university and local government, optimize resource integration, and advance the construction of relevant research platforms with a broader perspective and higher standards. This effort aims to provide robust support for the construction of the Double First-Class university initiative and contribute to the high-quality development of Chongqing’s biomedical industry.
Mr. Zhao stressed the need to promptly establish a collaboration mechanism, form a dedicated task force, and enhance efficiency. He emphasized that Yuzhong District would work closely with the university to secure greater support for enhancing the platform’s capacity, striving to work jointly in establishing a flagship initiative for the biomedical industry.
The meeting also featured in-depth discussions on talent recruitment, funding support, facility allocation, and the progress of the construction of the Chongqing Medical University’s Innovation Ecosystem.
